"Wish Upon a Star"

Tonight we would like to give you the opportunity to make a very personal difference to the Episcopal Academy, your children, and the teachers that are here helping to shape their lives on a daily basis.

We are introducing “Wish Upon a Star” to specifically impact the EAPA Wish List. This list is what teachers request from the EAPA…items that are outside of their budgets for the year, but that will make a difference in their daily lives as they teach your children.

Did You Know?  The Speaker Series that brings speakers such as Dick Vermeil, Dick Vitale, famous authors, various CEO’s and many other speakers to Chapel to give your children outside perspective, personal knowledge and value is partially funded by the Wish List.

Did You Know? The Lower School Teepee that sits behind the Science building was funded with our help when a teacher requested it as a Lower School project to demonstrate the lives of Native Americans and was constructed by the students.

Did You Know? The Wish List gives funds to the Michelle Deasey Scholarship every year so that the memory of that special EA third grader remains part of our student’s ability to recognize the human spirit.

Did You Know? The requests that we receive from so many of our teachers to be included on the Wish List are those things that a teacher feels would add to the value of their academic impact, and therefore their interaction with your child.  All are considered by the EAPA executive board for funding each year.

These requests include things like the following: white screens for “5th Grade TV”, the kneelers in the Chapel, 6 seat Golf Cart for athletic events to provide refreshment for parents, speakers, books, loudspeakers, podiums, catalog systems, computers, and the list goes on…the needs and requests are always changing, but with your help we are able to make it happen.

Did you know?  We plan to start a brand new annual tradition at EA?  Come to an ALL EA student, faculty, staff and family Christmas Tree lighting ceremony complete with carols, hot chocolate.  We’ll place a huge tree in the circle and celebrate the season in EA style.

The opportunity to contribute at $2,000.00, $1,000.00, $500.00, $250.00 and $100.00 will be available to you.  We thank you in advance for your generosity in supporting “Wish Upon a Star” during Starfest this year…so please, have your bidder card ready.

We look forward to seeing you at STARFEST!
